'Respondents consistently argue that the Neighbourhood Plan should be an opportunity to improve the town, building upon its current strengths and making good any weaknesses' she says.  Professor Butel's report … [Read more...]

EARLY RESULTS FROM COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT POINT TO KEY ISSUES FOR LISKEARD

Seventy-five percent of people in the Liskeard area think that housing is the most important thing for the new Liskeard Neighbourhood Plan to cover according to the first results from the community engagement work carried out by the Town Council this summer. Closely behind are the town centre, work and learning, and open space/leisure. We received 576 sets of comments during the community engagement work, and we have now completed the initial analysis of what was said. That’s a fantastic … [Read more...]

First ‘Volunteer Evening’ a quiet success.

On 31st July we held our first Volunteer Evening, intended to bring potential volunteers up to speed on the Plan and explain the roles that could be played. Another Volunteer Evening will be held later in August or early September, so that those who missed this event have the opportunity of attending.   … [Read more...]

Busy Have Your Say Day at Morrisons

Over 150 people recorded their views about the future of Liskeard at our Have Your Say mini-exhibition at Liskeard Morrisons on Saturday 26th July. During a hot and busy shopping day lots of people took an interest, with many spending quite a few minutes to talk about the issues that concern them. We hope the ice-cream in their shopping baskets didn't melt whilst they chatted to us! Most of the people we spoke to were from Liskeard, but there was also a strong  representation from the … [Read more...]
