On 16th December a Neighbourhood Plan training session on Housing was provided to the NP Team and Working Group volunteers. The event, funded by Locality/CDF and provided by Cornwall Rural Community Charity, gave some useful pointers on affordable housing, design and sustainability, and the potential of Community Land Trusts.
After short presentations Andrew O’Brien (Affordable Housing Team Leader, Cornwall Council), Tim Kellett (Urban Designer, Cornwall Development Company, and Alan Fox (Director, Cornwall Community Land Trust) held workshop sessions with delegates. The learning from these sessions will be an important input to the design of the NP housing provision strategy.
