EARLY RESULTS FROM COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT POINT TO KEY ISSUES FOR LISKEARD
Seventy-five percent of people in the Liskeard area think that housing is the most important thing for the new Liskeard Neighbourhood Plan to cover according to the first results from the community engagement work carried out by the Town Council this summer. First ‘Volunteer Evening’ a quiet success.
On 31st July we held our first Volunteer Evening, intended to bring potential volunteers up to speed on the Plan and explain the roles that could be played. Although the attendance was quite low, (its Summer Holidays!) there was a good discussion of the issues and those present 'signed-up' to help in various ways. Busy Have Your Say Day at Morrisons
Over 150 people recorded their views about the future of Liskeard at our Have Your Say mini-exhibition at Liskeard Morrisons on Saturday 26th July. During a hot and busy shopping day lots of people took an interest, with many spending quite a few minutes to talk about the issues that concern them.
