COMING SOON! Our Community Engagement campaign!
Starting late April and running through May will be the big community engagement period, when our travelling exhibition will be present at various community events, at society and interest group meetings, on the Parade and elsewhere around the town, and in village halls near Liskeard.
Towards the end of May there will be a special day long event at the Public Hall. The aim is to find out what our community feels that the Neighbourhood Plan should be about and what it should try to achieve.
WATCH OUT FOR MORE DETAILS!

I have received your leaflet and have read through everything on this website but there is absolutely no information in either of them as to what the Liskeard Neighbourhood Plan is!
Where is the map showing the sites for new houses? Where is the timescale showing when the houses are going to be built? Where is the map and the plan for the town centre? Where is the plan for attracting businesses and creating new jobs?
At the moment there is nothing on this website that anyone can get involved with. You mention a ‘roadshow’ but unless it goes up and down every street in Liskeard most people are not going to see it.
If you are not going to include any of the necessary information, what is the point of this website?

Thanks for your comment. We don’t have any sites for new houses, construction timescales, or policies for the town centre and businesses on the website, because the Neighbourhood Plan hasn’t been written yet. The concept behind the Localism Act that gives the Town Council the power to make a Neighbourhood Plan is that the whole community should get involved in deciding these things. So we arn’t asking you to comment on our ideas, but to come forward with what you think would make the best sites and policies. So please use the survey you can find under the ‘Have your say!’ link, alongside on the right of the screen, to let us know what you think. There’s also going to be a Town Crier item on the Plan including a questionnaire, that will be delivered to every household. If you want to discuss anything in more detail, you’ll also find our stand at several community events taking place over the next two months, or drop into our big event on the 29th May at the Public Hall. Also please feel free to comment on any item on this website, which will be expanding and updating frequently.
