Training event points the way.
On 16th December a Neighbourhood Plan training session on Housing was provided to the NP Team and Working Group volunteers. The event, funded by Locality/CDF and provided by Cornwall Rural Community Charity, gave some useful pointers on affordable housing, design and sustainability, and the potential of Community Land Trusts. Thirty interested people were present at our Volunteers event on the 27th November, and a few more sent apologies but indicated their continuing interest. Pickles intervention defends a Neighbourhood Plan
The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles, has stepped in to overrule a Planning Inspector who had ruled in favour of a housing developer, because the decision would have been contrary to a Neighbourhood Plan.
