Following the assessment of a recently conducted open spaces audit, Liskeard Town Council met on Tuesday 21st January 2014 and adopted ‘ A Future Policy for Open Spaces around Liskeard’. The policy is “to protect and enhance the character and accessibility of the natural green spaces around the boundary of the town, accessed via green corridors and quiet lanes, which would also fulfill the objective of the Cornwall Local Plan to maintain the physical link between Liskeard and the world mining heritage site at Minions”.
This policy and the details within the audit will be important material to be taken into account as the Neighborhood Plan is developed.
