More volunteers sign up to help with Working Groups

Thirty interested people were present at our Volunteers event on the 27th November, and a few more sent apologies but indicated their continuing interest. Pickles intervention defends a Neighbourhood Plan

The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles, has stepped in to overrule a Planning Inspector who had ruled in favour of a housing developer, because the decision would have been contrary to a Neighbourhood Plan. Speculative developer Gladman appealed after Aylesbury Vale District Council refused planning permission for a 211-home estate in fields around a farm 850 metres from the town centre in Winslow, Buckinghamshire. St Eval first Cornish Neighbourhood Plan to succeed at referendum.

The St Eval  Neighbourhood Plan was successful at referendum on 27 November 2014. The result of the referendum was a 93% yes vote on a turnout of 34%. That's 202 people voting yes and 16 against, out of an electorate of 644. Further details from Cornwall Council. … [Read more...]

Liskeard Neighbourhood Plan gets Grant Aid

The production of the Liskeard Neighbourhood Plan is being supported by a grant awarded by the Supporting Communities in Neighbourhood Planning Programme led by Locality in association with the Royal Town Planning Institute/Planning Aid England, Community Development Foundation and partners, available through the My Community Rights website.
